Descent of Grace
Painted in the solitude of the pandemic, this work emerged as a silent dialogue between the artist and the sacred. A vertical column of dense, almost mineral matter descends through luminous veils of blue, as if crossing the threshold between heaven and earth.
The central axis — at once corporeal and intangible — evokes presence, weight, and sacrifice, while the light that pours from above suggests grace, breath, and transcendence. Rather than depicting a figure, the painting embodies a passage: from darkness to illumination, from isolation to communion.
In this work, the sacred is not represented but felt. It inhabits the tension between density and air, between silence and revelation, inviting the viewer into a contemplative space where memory, faith, and transformation converge.
